While transporting his delinquent daughter back to Los Angeles, U.S. Marshal Jack Carter crashes his car near Eureka. He assists in a case involving a tachyon accelerator. The town begins to experience time and space anomalies, a child is nearly killed and a herd of cows is lost. When Carter investigates Jim Taggart kidnaps him and he meets Allison Blake who shows him Global Dynamics and the real side of Eureka. Eventually the accelerator is found and the scientist who built it dies trying to shut it off. The military then comes in and quarantines the town. The rift caused by the tachyon accelerator can be stopped if another particle collision can occur but a large quantum physics problem must be solved (for half of it went missing while the anomalies occurred all over town) so Carter sneaks out of the heavily guarded GD (with the help of Jo) and grabs Allison's autistic son who solves the problem, another collision occurs and Eureka, and Earth, is saved. In the end, Carter gets a promotion like he wanted, but just not the one he expected: he's the new sheriff of Eureka after the old one retired. As a pilot, the sets were not final designs. The Global Dynamics sets were completely changed for the production series, including a different, more angular logo, and new exteriors. The director of GD was also replaced with Nathan Stark in between this and the following episode, nominally due to the security breach in section 5, although he is never mentioned again. |

Carter and the rest of the town are surprised by the arrival of Susan Perkins, a woman whose funeral they've all just attended. Nathan Stark, Allison's ex-husband, becomes head of GD. Meanwhile an amorphous being causes electrical disturbances all over town. The being is found to be the scientist who created the tachyon accelerator and is now caught between seconds, and the woman who died is found to be a clone, and the woman who showed up is the real one. |

When a world renowned scientist arrives in Eureka, Jack and Henry suddenly find that they cannot account for blocks of time. The scientist uses a device Henry created that emits an EM pulse that messes with people's electrolytes in the brain and causes them not to form short term memories. The scientist then would wait for someone to make a breakthrough, erase their memories, and copy it as his own. |

Spencer is apparently abducted by aliens and then returned to Earth the next day inside a crop circle, and Fargo, Jo, Vincent, and Taggart start to act strangely. Also, the town is visited by the congressman whose committee is responsible for its government funding. It turns out that Spencer, Fargo, Jo, Vincent and Taggart were watching a movie Spencer hacked from a satellite, and then bounced it off a GD military satellite, and the project of the satellite was to cause paranoia in the USA's enemies, and while watching the movie, the paranoia 'beam' was transferred to them, and they began to think the movie was going on around them, and believe that the Senator (Garwin Sanford), is host to an alien and kidnap him, Carter is able to stop them from cutting the 'alien' out of him and gets them to surrender. |

The artifact imbues a scientist, Carl Carlson (Saul Rubinek), with wondrous powers, but at a terrible price. Eventually Dr. Carlson finds out about the Artifact and runs from Stark, when Stark tries to get Dr. Carlson back, Carter is injured, and so Dr. Carlson takes Carter to the Artifact and heals him, and then enters the Artifact, never to be seen again. |

Carter must help an aged scientist recover his memory in time to stop a doomsday device from destroying the world. The old scientist, Dr. Thatcher, has not been the same ever since he didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize for creating the Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D) device, which fires a beam of irradiated uranium isotopes at a mirror on the moon, bouncing back at the earth to hit another target on its surface after the earth has rotated sufficiently (Mostly likely causing World War Three since the default target was chosen during World War Two). Carter uses a hologram presentation to convince Dr. Thatcher that he won a Nobel prize, and the scientist regains his right state of mind. Dr. Thatcher attempts to turn off the device, but since Henry had earlier cut the blue wire while attempting to deactivate the device on his own, the computer initiated Dead Man's protocol which is an automatic firing of the weapon on a five minute timer. Unable to stop the device, Carter drives his Jeep into it causing the weapon to just barely miss the moon and hit a satellite off of Jupiter. |

A mysterious death leads Carter to suspect foul play, but some individuals want to ensure that he does not delve too deep. It is discovered that scientists from GD have formulated a drug that makes them able to run at speeds approaching 600 mph (966 km/h) and it was one of these who was killed when he was hit by a truck. During the investigation Fargo takes the drug, which has very bad withdrawal symptoms. It turns out that Zoe's new boyfriend, Dylan, was involved with the development of the drug. |

A computer programmer who left Eureka after having a falling out with Stark returns at the same time that the town is hit by a computer virus. The programmer develops a rapport with Zoe who has just gotten into a large fight with her father, and they leave town after the programmer is accused of setting a fire, and the virus causes more and more trouble. Carter and Stark chase after Callister Raynes and Zoe, discovering that Raynes, the programmer, is an android created by Stark long ago. |

Nanoids designed to repair living tissue escape from a Global Dynamics lab and threaten to overrun Eureka. The threat gets worse when they gain the ability to take the form of living beings. It is found that the nanoids communicate on the same frequency as Stark's newest gadget, which allows him to uplink to the computer remotely. So the nanoid-constructed androids take the form of Stark and start doing whatever he dreams about in daydreams, which includes world domination. Carter figures out how to destroy them, so he evokes an emotional response from Stark by kissing Allison. The androids come and using Spencer's new super-speaker, which makes a sound low enough that the communication between the nanoids ceases and the many Stark-androids fall apart into dust. |

The town's residents start acting out of character, and perhaps more in line with their subconscious impulses. Vincent puts a man in the hospital, Allison nearly seduces Carter, Jo starts acting like a teenage party girl, Henry thinks everyone is using him and he gets drunk, Fargo and his neighbor begin fighting, and Taggart goes around town naked. Beverly eventually begins telling everyone's problems over the intercom and Allison tries to kill her. Carter, Zoe, and SARAH, the Carters' house, figure out that they are immune because SARAH is hermetically sealed. It is a pollen, Carter burns the plants responsible and the town returns to normal. At the very end, Henry tells people he is leaving Eureka. |

In the wake of Henry's decision to leave Eureka, S.A.R.A.H. traps some of Eureka's prominent residents--Carter, Henry, Allison, Beverly, Fargo and Nathan--in order to protect the town from what she feels is a great danger: increasing discord among the residents and the dissolution of Eureka, beginning with Henry's departure. Jo and Taggart arrive later and realize that something is seriously wrong. However, an escape attempt inside the smarthouse goes awry and S.A.R.A.H.'s base military AI, B.R.A.D., emerges, forcing the prisoners to choose: reconcile or die. They must escape, disarm a crazed weapon-powered AI, and determine what S.A.R.A.H is really worried about. |

Nathan Stark is given the opportunity to investigate "the Artifact." After it is tested (with Kim's help), we cut to 2010 and Eureka is a very different place. Stark is a billionaire in California, Henry is married to Kim as well as the principal of Tesla High school and the head of Global Dynamics. Carter and Allison are married, and Allison is pregnant. Zoe is the valedictorian of her class, which is graduating that day. Jo and Taggart are dating. But soon problems start to appear all over town: things that the town has experienced in the past 4 years start to happen again, a tornado nearly destroying half of downtown Eureka. Also, a body is found in Section 5, near the Artifact. They test it and find that the body belongs to Kim Deacon, Henry's wife. Henry explains that back in 2006, during Stark's test on the Artifact, Kim was extracting a sample when an explosion occurred, killing her. Henry then used Walter Perkins's tachyon accelerator to go back in time and stop her from dying. This new timeline caused all of the anomalies. The past must be fixed. Stark comes to town to help with the tachyon accelerator. Carter goes back to 2006 and stops Henry from saving Kim in the explosion. The timeline is fixed. We also learn that Beverly had implanted a chip in Nathan's neck so that the Consortium can gain second-hand access to the Artifact. |

A solar eclipse happens in Eureka. Following the restoration of the timeline, Carter and Henry must adjust, while Allison gets Nathan's job, and citizens of Eureka start to spontaneously combust. Three of these victims are scientists, all of them having little to no relation to one another. One of them is Kevin's (Allison's son) therapist. Kevin hints that when he went to therapy, he would sometimes go to "the man downstairs". Carter tries to get Henry to help him adapt more to the timeline. Carter follows many leads to the possible deaths, he even suspects Henry at one point, also blaming Vincent's five-alarm chili. Through investigating he finds out that all three scientists were in a lab adjacent to the Artifact during the explosion, and radiation from the explosion infects them, and later causes the body's electrical system to overload. They also discover that Kevin was in the lab as well, but he is unaffected. They conclude that Stark was infected, too, so Stark (who no longer works at GD) sneaks in and goes to the Artifact chamber, just to find that it is dead: instead of a fireball, the Artifact now looks like a mass of roots. They get Stark into a lab and attempt to cool him down, they discover that they can stop him from combustion by electrically shocking his brain. They do this and it nearly kills him but he is brought back, safe from combustion. The episode ends with Henry erasing Carter's memory of the alternate timeline, and Henry then destroying the memory erasing device, saying he is never going to forget. |

As the computer at Global Dynamics reboots on the occasion of Allison's start as the new director, the disappearance of a "Category Red" device leads to an unlikely alliance between Carter and Stark. Fargo is caught inside a forcefield that is continualy expanding. It was placed on him by a man who works in the GD Vault. The shield pushes everything away from it, and is only going to keep on growing and growing. Carter learns that the last time this happened in Eureka, the man inside the shield had to be dropped into a 2-mile deep pit, and then a 3-megaton nuclear bomb was dropped on him. This is about to happen to Fargo when the shield dies, its power source depleted. However, the device starts back up, draining power from Fargo himself, meaning Fargo will eventually die. Carter realizes that sound can past through the shield, so Carter uses a super sonic pulse to temporarily kill Fargo by stopping his heart. The shield collapses and they resuscitate Fargo. |

An isolated deep-freeze sets off a chain reaction of freak climate changes that soon escalate into a threat that could destroy Eureka and the rest of the planet. Also Carter's ex-wife gets in the mix when she arrives for Zoe's surprise 16th birthday party. Carter finds that the local weather is responsible. A scientist has created a way to control the weather, and the weather man would be out of a job, so he messed with one of the scientist's weather controlling devices and froze a lake, causing all of the weather problems. Carter plans on heating the lake up again with the same machine, but a hurricane keeps on blowing him away from it. Eventually he is able to reach the machine and heats up the lake again. The weather returns to normal. At the end of the episode, Abby, Carter's ex, tells him she is taking Zoe back to Los Angeles. |

Carter and Jo check out a noise complaint, which turns out to be just a scientist trying to create a device to track electrons. Carter is hit in the head with the device, receiving a mild concussion. He talks to Zoe, who is very angry with him, because she is going to have to leave with her mother. After using a self-therapy device, Carter experiences his fears where the inhabitants of Eureka are disappearing one by one. When they disappear, no one remembers them. Eventually only Carter and Zoe are left in town and Carter realizes that he is trapped inside the therapy device. Seeing no other choice, he drives himself and Zoe right into one of the anomalies that always appears when someone disappears, and he wakes up. Henry and Allison inform him that usually the device lets people go whenever they want, but the concussion he'd had was interfering with the device. Abby, Carter's ex, decides not to take Zoe, since she realized that it seems to be one of the only places that Zoe fits in. |

Space junk is massing over Eureka, forming a giant debris cloud that threatens to destroy the town and its inhabitants. Carter must find what is drawing it, and why, before disaster strikes. At first, they suspect a scientist who tried to use space junk as a weapon. Then, at the high school science fair, Zoe messes with a rival's project, an array, and all metallic things are drawn to it. They discover that an array of a similar design is on top of GD, used to take deep-space photos. It was made by the mother of the student who created the smaller, original version. When the array bounces off of the electromagnetic shield around GD, it creates one giant magnet. Carter and the GD scientists are able to make the space junk dissolve in the atmosphere. |

An epidemic of shared dreaming in Eureka seems amusing, if somewhat embarrassing, until it is discovered that the cause will ultimately prove lethal for everyone in town. They discover that Stark and Allison were trying to be in Kevin's dream (Kevin now has a special connection to the Artifact), but it interferes with a neurologist's neural network of 50 people, who the dreams originate from, and when the dreams occur, a compound builds up in the spinal cord. Three people die because of it, and Carter and Jo are part of the neural network. So Stark's dream-reading device is turned off and Carter, Jo, and the others are cured. |

Fargo's grandfather, Dr. Pierre Fargo, is revived from cryogenic suspension in an unmarked sleeper pod at Global Dynamics. Once awake, he accuses his old rival of locking him in the pod, and stealing his life's work. It is found that the scientist did steal his work, but Pierre's best friend locked him up. He was locked up because his best friend was in love with Pierre's fiancee (Fargo's grandmother), so he froze Pierre. Pierre then ages and looks like a regular grandfather. |

As an experiment that will recreate the first moments of the origins of the universe, the "Big Bang", goes terribly awry, the town's geniuses turn into morons, leaving the fate of Eureka in the hands of Jack Carter and an antisocial young ubergenius, Zane Donovan. At first, it is believed that the Big Bang device is responsible, but Carter discovers that a new kind of chicken meat is responsible. The cloned meat contained a chemical that affected the brain chemistry of those who ate it. Zane, then, stops the Big Bang device from exploding. After a cure for the chicken is found, everyone returns from their "moron-mind" state. |

Sudden muteness, human bio-luminescence, and faucets running blood cause many of Eureka's citizens to believe that they are the victims of a Biblical plague. Allison begins to glow, but the bioluminscence will kill her, and then all power goes out in Eureka. It is discovered that a woman, recently widowed, has been building a machine that has connected all space and time a temporal rift, or a gateway to the multiverse so that she can be with her husband again (she believes the gateway to lead to heaven), but doing so has created specific ultrasonic sound waves that put pressure on human vocal cords, making speech impossible, it vibrated microorganisms in the water, who released a red dye, and somehow caused Allison's cells to glow. The machine is shut off and Stark is afraid Allison is going to die, for he cannot find a cure. Stark brings in Kevin, who is able to heal her. The town returns to normal. |

Sheriff Jack Carter becomes absolutely irresistible to every woman in Eureka. But if he doesn't get his mojo under control, they may just eat him alive. At the same time, things begin to explode all over Eureka. Henry goes into the tunnels underneath the town (the source of the problem). The tunnels are where water is filtered, and cool air for air conditioning is made. The scientist in charge of the tunnels stumbled upon some old Native American bones and was exposed to a peptide that made him irresistible to his wife, who locked him in his own house. But before that, the scientist had visited Taggert's lab, when Carter went into the lab, some of the peptide rubbed off on him. When Carter later went into the tunnels, he found the bones also and was exposed to even more of the peptide. Carter is attacked by over twenty women. Soon the air conditioning is fixed, the pressure explosions (which was supposed to move water up pipes) stop but, soon, the peptide is in the air of Eureka, pumped out by the air conditioning. A solution is discovered, Henry's asthma medicine. They pump it into the air using the air conditioning and all the men in town are saved. |

"All That Glitters…" (Part 1) |

Beverly Barlowe returns to town just as a parasitic bacterium threatens to destroy Eureka, by turning all metal into gold and then into rust. The town begins to fall apart and soon GD is affected. Fargo is stuck underneath some rubble. Stark comes up with a solution which Carter uses to stop the remaining rubble from crushing Fargo. The cure is administered to the town, and everything returns to normal. Henry finds Beverly in a cell in Stark's lab and sets her free. He plans on working with her to get Kevin to separate him from the Artifact so that the knowledge and energy within Kevin is not abused. Later, Henry calls Carter to his office saying that before they could stop the bacteria, it mutated and is attacking humans. GD goes into security mode and Allison, Kevin, Henry, and Beverly are all in the control room when the alarm goes off, the control room then seals itself off and drops a mile beneath GD. Section 4 is where the outbreak started and is quarantined. |

Nathan Stark and Jack Carter must put aside their rivalry to stop a deadly bacteria from destroying the town and killing Allison's son Kevin. Allison, Kevin, Henry, and Beverly are a mile beneath GD in a bunker, and Henry forces Allison to open up a room that contains a teleportation device, and they will use this escape method to separate Kevin from the Artifact. Meanwhile Carter, Taggert, and Stark get in protective gear and go into quarantined Section 4, which is filled with rubble when the beams were degrading in All That Glitters.... They find many people in the morgue, where the infection supposedly began, but they are just fine. Taggert attempts to lead people out of Section 4 but the defense systems pretend to be Fargo. Henry and Beverly decide it is time to teleport Kevin to the other bunker, where the Consortium can get him. Before this happens, Allison attacks Beverly, a brutal fight ensues, and Beverly is knocked out. Allison then threatens to kill Henry. Kevin intervenes and tells her to stop. Henry reveals that he was on Allison and Stark's side all along. Fargo and Zane almost have control of GD. Beverly wakes up with a knife and tries to stop Henry. Carter and Stark then appear. Stark says that the teleporter is not ready to make a successful transport. Henry says that he has calibrated it to separate Kevin from the Artifact. Kevin is placed inside the teleportation device. Jo tries to convince General Mansfield not to thermo-clean GD. Beverly uses the teleporter. Taggert is successful in leading everyone out of Section 4. Stark tells Mansfield that Beverly is dead. Henry admits to the General he was responsible for all of it. Henry is taken away by the military for his crimes. |

Success comes at a price, as several citizens of Eureka discover when the DOD sends corporate fixer Eva Thorne, reputed for completely revamping more Fortune 500 companies than anyone else, to town during an Anti-Missile test that sees the target drone named Martha threatening Eureka. Martha terrorizes the town, blowing up the Viper (a weapon that shot down all other drones like her) and stalks Carter, destroys Carter's car, and attacks Carter and Jo at the sheriff's office. They discover that Martha went from having the mindset of a toddler to the mindset of a teenager, and find out that the wife of the scientist who built her increased Martha's intelligence. At Cafe Diem Martha befriends Zoe and attacks Thorne and her escort, the suck-up (and Fargo's arch nemesis) Larry. Larry is knocked unconscious. Martha is taken to GD. Carter and Jo investigate and find a remote control device on her. They discover that Larry put the device on her so he could control her and impress Thorne. However, with her teenage mindset Martha did not care for being controlled and attacked him. At Global Dynamics Martha wakes up and releases other drones similar to her. The fleet of drones heads toward Eureka, and begin taking down the EM shield that would keep them inside of the Eureka city limits. Thorne calls in a squadron of F-16's to stop the drones just in case they escape. Carter, Stark, Fargo, and Allison think that Martha just wants room to breathe, and she feels that she cannot do that inside of the EM shield. But Martha may also be trying to prove herself as being independent and may plan world domination, which would cause World War III. So they purposefully take the EM shield down, hoping Martha will see it as an olive branch. The drones and the F-16's charge each other and Zoe (understanding what Martha is going through) talks to Martha over the radio and is able to convince her to come back to Eureka. The drones disengage and return to Global Dynamics |

Sheriff Jack Carter and Allison Blake investigate when a scientist mysteriously disappears from within a sealed biosphere. Meanwhile, the Corporate Fixer - Eva Thorne - attempts to make Eureka’s efforts more profitable. Carter and Allison go into the 12,000 acre Lab 27, one half mile beneath GD to search for the scientist, Bob Nobb. They find that he is de-evolving into a reptile, and so are the other 10 people who have been in Lab 27 for the past 11 years. Stark eventually comes down into the Lab to help them, and Henry (who is in prison) is hooked up with a holographic device and appears in the Lab as well. Further investigation shows that everyone is turning into reptiles, and that a scientist up at the surface wanted Bob to get sick so he used the artificial lighting to irradiate Bob's garden, hoping that Bob would just get sick, but he turned into a reptilian humanoid and everyone else is too, including Carter, Allison, and Stark. Bob escapes and grabs Allison, planning on eating her. So Carter, Stark, and holo-Henry shoot him and a cure is found. Thorne gets Henry a pardon and he returns to Eureka. |

It is time for Eureka's robotic dog show, and the android canines are out in force. However, when sudden mysterious earthquakes shake Eureka, Sheriff Jack Carter ends up with a pure-bred disaster on his hands. Some of the android dogs begin exploding and it is discovered that logic diamonds were inside them, the only place that logic diamonds exist is inside the GD main computer core. Eventually it is proven that a huge magma pocket is under Eureka. And that a scientist was growing logic diamonds by melting coal still inside an abandoned mine, but it also melted bed rock. The scientist then wanted to test the diamonds and put them inside the robotic dogs. Carter and Stark using a digging vehicle and dig a tunnel that allows the magma to spew out into the closest lake, but they are nearly killed in the process. Fargo wins the dog show, and Carter later learns that it is because Fargo entered a real dog. |

On Allison and Stark's wedding day, Sheriff Carter finds himself stuck in a time loop, causing him to experience the same lousy day over and over again. Meanwhile, Sheriff Carter's sister, Lexi, visits Eureka. As the time distortion escalates and threatens the town and entire universe, Carter's team takes desperate measures. Carter tries everything to escape the time loop, he even takes Lexi's advice believing it is stress related and kisses Allison right before she walks down the aisle. Carter finds he is not the only one inside the time loop, but the scientist tries to fix it and dies. Stark saves the day, but sacrifices himself to do so, seeming to dematerialize. |

It is Election Day in Eureka, but voting is the least of the town's concerns when an artificial sun threatens to go supernova. Lexi is going to have twin boys. A student at Tesla school built the sun but at the same time a man running for mayor who manipulates the clouds for advertising used a special kind of hydrogen that the sun began to burn off of. The town is evacuated and people are still complaining about who should be mayor, but Henry makes them see the bigger picture, that they need to be concerned for the town not for who runs it. Carter and Zane must turn off the cloud sculpting device, but the closer they get to the 'cloud farm' where the device is the hotter it gets, so they put on a gel that Fargo and Vincent were using to make them immune to the heat, they have a hard time finding the device because the cloud farm has been turned into steam, they find it and fire it at the sun, which goes dead. Everyone returns to town and Henry, who did not even run, is elected mayor. |

A doomsday weapon built in the abandoned military complex is discovered, as is the secret Thorne wants to stay hidden – she's 107 years old, real name Mary Perkins, and was involved in a pre-Eureka research project that developed the first atomic bombs (using radioactive material from meteorites). Meanwhile, Jo and Zane get stuck together, literally, and Zoe's life is imperiled by the aging syndrome that killed Mary's colleagues which she got from slipping in that puddle. Allison is found to be pregnant with Nathan's child. Thorne sacrifices her only chance for a cure for her condition to save Zoe, but the radiation that caused the aging condition is released into the town. The team realizes that the scientists managed to create a cure: the doomsday bomb in the bunker was a fail-safe to neutralize the radiation if it ever got out and the scientists ran out of time to use it on themselves. The bomb is triggered and the town is saved. Meanwhile, Jo and Zane are finally freed and renew their seemingly failing relationship. After Jack lets Thorne go to find a new life as he feels she's a victim too, General Mansfield tells Carter that his services are no longer needed by the town of Eureka. |

However, the unfortunate robot seems to be the target of random gravitational anomalies which repeatedly crush him, and Carter cannot help but get involved. When Andy refuses to help due to low chances of success, Carter volunteers and gets close but fails. However, Andy, inspired by Carter's bravery disregards the odds and saves him. Working together they save the day, doing a job that neither of them could have succeeded in alone. Afterward, Andy realizes that Eureka is better off in Carter's hands and exploits a loophole in the town charter to have him reinstated stating that after calculating the odds, he believes Eureka has the best odds of survival with Carter as sheriff. At the end of the episode an alien object is detected heading straight for the town. |

Carter must take the bi-annual D.O.D. re-certification test in order to remain sheriff of Eureka. The test takes 48 hours and the test is conducted completely isolated from the rest of the town. Jo fills in as active sheriff while Carter is taking the test, as well as taking care of Zoe while Carter is otherwise occupied. Allison wants to put a new security measure into effect that uses a DNA scan to grant or deny access to various points of Global Dynamics. Henry doesn’t want to install the new devices, so Jo is called in as the deciding vote. Jo decides to have the devices installed and is the first one scanned for identification, but the device malfunctions and nearly electrocutes her. When Jo comes to it is discovered that someone had stolen a critical piece of the device. Allison wants to pull Carter out of his test to have him help find the thief, but Jo insists that she can track down the thief herself. When Jo asks Henry about the missing piece of equipment, he tells her that he is also missing an important piece of equipment. Leaving Henry to ponder a possible link between the two stolen items, Jo heads for the Smart House to help Zoe with homework. Jo finds that walking a mile in Carter's shoes is proving to be a challenge, especially when Zoe wants to blow off work and go to karaoke night at Café Diem. Jo's still feeling the effects of her near-electrocution and forbids it, wanting nothing more than to sleep. Zoe uses this as an opportunity to sneak out. Jo soon catches Zoe performing at the Café. Yet instead of grounding her, Jo joins in the fun, drinking too much as she sings and flirts with Fargo. Jo ends up kissing Fargo just as Zane enters the Café. Jo insists that she's fine, but Allison and Henry worry about Jo's state of mind after she begins behaving more erratically. A third theft then occurs and the DNA scanner identifies Jo as the thief. Only Jo knows that someone is stealing her identity, gene by gene. Trapped in that person's body, Jo has to convince a skeptical Zane of her true identity. |

Several mysterious events take place after Dr. Drechmeyer is supposedly contacted by his late mother, a famed clairvoyant. He thinks that the readings on his new energy-measuring device indicate the presence of ghosts. His lab partner and ex-wife, Mary-Beth Curtis, fears his obsession will cost them their funding, but something strange is happening. Carter finds a car parked in the middle of the road, but its driver - a spirited and beautiful new arrival, Dr. Tess Fontana - denies leaving it there. Tess leaves Carter annoyed, yet intrigued. Meanwhile, Carter's sister, Lexi, enjoys her new "Invis-Apparel" maternity shirt courtesy of GD, which completely hides her pregnant tummy. It also proves useful when the twins' world-traveling father arrives in town unannounced. Lexi hides her condition, not sure that Duncan is fatherhood material, much to Zoe's disapproval. Later, at Café Diem, Carter finds a highly agitated Dr. Drechmeyer claiming the high readings he sees prove the spirits are active. Suddenly, various objects begin to fly about and Carter has to tackle Tess Fontana to keep the espresso machine from decking her. Then, to Carter's surprise, Allison arrives and greets Tess with open arms. They are old college friends and she's been brought in for a secret project. Following another energy burst, Allison admits that GD has decided to re-open Section 5 under Tess's oversight. And she wants Carter and Tess to work together to solve the paranormal activity — even though they clearly can't stand each other. When Tess gives Carter a tour, they encounter a strange device, and some odd sensations, in one of the labs. Leaving the area, they realize that no one can see or hear them. This causes them to ponder whether they are dead; however, Tess believes they've somehow crossed into another dimension. Returning to the lab, they find Dr. Johnson recovering from an unsuccessful attempt to break out. His research on inter-dimensional travel created a temporary door into the Fifth Dimension. Unless they can re-calibrate Johnson's device before Henry and Allison unknowingly shut it down from the other side, the trio could be trapped inside forever. |

Fargo, Lucas, and "The Cleaner" (and bowling champ) Big Ed Fowler, prepare their team for the bi-annual bowling competition against hated rival Toby Bismark and his team from Area 51. "Creative enhancement of odds" (cheating) is all part of the game. However, cheaters never prosper and the Eureka team members literally find themselves turning green with envy when they are dosed with gamma radiation. Meanwhile, Allison and Tess are trying to get a clear view of the distant source of a mysterious signal from space. Needing more power for the telescope, they ask Carter and Jo to confiscate all of the Globidium power cells around town. The sites that use the plutonium-like element include Café Diem and the Smart House. Making their rounds, Carter and Jo discover that someone is stealing the radioactive fuel cells. By the time Carter determines that Big Ed is the Globidium thief, there is nothing left of "The Cleaner" but a pool of green goo. It seems that Big Ed had a pet project that grew out of control. Carter and Tess find a container for Ed's radiation-devouring microorganism that is now empty. It seems the blob had Ed for lunch and has now gone out for dinner. "Team Green" would be a likely target but Duncan, returning to confront Lexi, concocts a mud bath to cure their radioactive condition. In a scene reminiscent of "Psycho", the radiation-starved blob attacks. Carter comes to the rescue, but the mutating green menace retreats down the drain and heads for Eureka's last source of Globidium — the Smart House. Zoe is safe at work but if Carter's final, desperate plan fails, Lexi and Duncan may not live to become parents. |

Five unfinished plasma generators made out of scrap from all over Eureka appear in the woods outside of town. Carter and Tess stake out the sight under the theory that who every is building it will want to finish it. When night falls, all the teenagers of Eureka walk to the machines and start to augment them with new parts from town. Carter takes the teenagers (including Zoe) to the GD infirmary where when they wake up have no memory of ever building this device. When night falls the teenagers begin to try and continue building but the GD security stops them, however other members of the town have fallen under the influence including Zane and they continue the construction. Carter and Henry realize that the effected are the people of the town who's cars have been integrated into the Smart Assphalt automatic driving system. The grid is shut down and all those effected fall into a coma. However the signal from space has been discovered to be the source of the sleepwalkers and it has gotten so close to the earth that it doesn't need the Smart Assphalt system to build its device. The people of Eureka finish the machine and it creates a torrent of blue energy that shoots up into the sky. Alison prepares to shoot down the incoming ship until Fargo arrives. Fargo who was previously held hostage by his car's AI system (Tabitha) for selling her arrives on the scene to tell Alison that the device that everyone has been building is a Boson Cloud Exciter, a catcher's mitt for a Faster than Light space jump. The ship lands, Henry approaches it and scrapes some dust of the side revealing a US flag, Thus revealing that the ship is of earthly origins. |

Season four marked the first crossover event with fellow Syfy series Warehouse 13. Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) appeared in the August 3, 2010 episode of Warehouse 13, while Claudia Donovan(Allison Scagliotti) of Warehouse 13 appeared on Eureka on August 6, 2010.[12][13] James Callis joined the cast as Dr. Trevor Grant, a scientist from 1947.
Season 4 was split into two parts, plus a standalone Christmas special: the first nine episodes were shown in the summer of 2010, a Christmas episode was shown in December, and the final episodes began airing on July 11, 2011.[14]

While Allison aids in their escapes, Deacon determines they were transported by a space-time bridge created by an invention of Einstein and associate Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis), with the aid of their communicators. Grant helps them return to the year 2010. They succeed, but due to their presence in 1947, the five discover a few changes to the timeline; Jo never dated Zane, Kevin is no longer autistic, Henry is married to Grace (someone he barely knows), and Jack finds that he and Tess are still together. In the end, it is revealed that Grant has also transported to the present. |

Soon it is discovered that it is caused by a positronic lightning created by the alternate Fargo. Carter, Andy and Grant volunteer and succeed in shutting down the device. In the end, Deacon reveals the bridge device is destroyed beyond repair. The six travelers agree to never reveal to anyone that they changed the timeline—"If anyone knew about our trip," Jack says, "there'd be trouble." |

Carter is uncomfortable with Tess moving in with him. Meanwhile, Fargo has trouble coping with being director of Global Dynamics. After witnessing a malfunctioning demonstration in the non-lethal weapons lab, everybody inside Global Dynamics start showing signs of rage before they are no longer lucid. The only ones who are not infected are Allison, Carter and Tess, who were not in Global Dynamics at the time. Lupo helps them find a solution before she too is no longer lucid, in which case she cuffs herself. Eventually, using Fargo as a diversion, Tess is able to correct the malfunction, causing everybody in the building to return to normal. In the end, Carter confronts Tess about how uncomfortable he is with her moving in with him, and feels it would be best to split up. Deacon and Grant work on repairing the space-time bridge. However, in the process everything they touch disintegrates. Deacon soon learns that Grace played a prank on him. |

At the same time the Astraeus candidates have moved on to the next level of testing, and Zane Donovan, Douglas Fargo, Jo Lupo, Holly Marten, and Dr. Parrish are all isolated in a cell for psychological stress testing, the test is compounded by the fact that the construction mites are threatening to destabilize and collapse the entire area where the cell is located. |

With five hours before the Astreaus launch to Titan, Carter asks Allison to move in with him, which she later accepts. Deacon finds a slight power shortage in the ship, forcing the countdown to be postponed. It has emerged that the power shortage, along with a number of power arrays across the town, is fueling a number of micro black holes across Eureka. Carter succeeds in evacuating Cafe Diem before it is destroyed. Jo and Carter decide the best course of action is to surround the lake with arrays , attracting all the micro black holes to that spot to continue the Astreaus launch, however they all merge to create a larger black hole. Carter, using Deacon's help, is able to eliminate the black hole with antimatter. Jo decides to leave Eureka. The countdown to the launch continues. However once Allison fills all the stasis pods with the ship's crew, mission control finds that somebody has hacked into the network, speeding the timer and redirecting the ship's destination. With Allison trapped inside, and a high probability the take off force will kill her, Carter breaks the reactor coolant pipes, overheating it with the hopes of aborting take-off; he succeeds in shutting down the reactor but the ship takes off despite this. |

(This is a holiday special, and takes place outside the main story.) Crashing over Eureka, a wave of color changes the town to animation of multiple styles and cartoonish effects, including Jack's jeep coming alive, Andy being turned into a cartoonish robot, and Jo becoming a princess. All this caused by the Super Photon Generator, a massive holographic matrix meant as Jack's Christmas gift for the kids (with help from Fargo). Meanwhile, Kevin, Zoey, and Jenna opened a gift early called "Holotown", a 'create your own story' book using holograms. It turns out that the gift the kids opened crossed signals with the Super Photon Generator. As the episode goes on, with the main characters aware of the changing animations, the kids add villainous Snow Ninjas to spice up the story. As Jack, Andy, Allison, and Jo make it to the generator, they see Dr. Drummer- a scientist from the last holiday special- trying to fix the generator; but as he is, the snow ninjas join to create a 50 foot snow monster. The kids realize the connection between the generator and their book and give the others a fighting chance with Kevin turning them into Anime to defeat the snow ninja monster. Jack gets Jo close enough to throw a bomb into the monster, blowing it up. As the others fight the Snow Ninja Monster, Allison, Andy, and Dr. Drummer finally repair the generator, returning everyone to normal perspective. At the end of the episode, everyone gets together for a Christmas dinner at the smart house. |

On August 17, 2010, Syfy announced that there will be a fifth season.[1] On August 8, 2011, it was announced that season 5 will be the final season;[3] it was later announced that the network has ordered an additional episode for season 5 to wrap up the series.[36] On February 16, 2012, Syfy announced that the show's fifth and final season would premiere on April 16, 2012.[4] In order to close the show one additional episode of the fifth season was ordered, which aired on July 16, 2012.[37]

The Astraeus crew returns to Earth to discover that they have been missing for four years and, in their absence, Eureka has moved on without them. SARAH is the head of Global Dynamics with an army of Andy replicas as her security force. Henry, having taken much of the blame for the loss of Astraeus, is no longer town mayor. Jack has raised Allison's children and is now dating Jo. Now reunited, Jack and Allison work with the others to overthrow SARAH and Andy's oppressive regime and restore balance to the town. However, the crew is not really in the future; Beverly Barlowe has them in a machine that is a virtual reality. |

A month has passed and the town continues searching for the missing Astraeus crew after the DOD calls off the search. Carter and Andy go on a mission to retrieve the last part Kevin needs for a scanner to locate the Astraeus. After being apprehended, they are rescued by Jo when she returns from her walkabout and Carter realizes that the crew hasn't been lost in space, but on Earth. Kevin and Henry locate the Astraeus and Carter and Jo lead a rescue team. When they arrive, they find the ship and the simulator. However, Beverly's team and the crew are gone. Jack realizes that the person responsible for the disappearance is Senator Wen, who is revealed to be Beverly's superior. Meanwhile, in the simulated Eureka, the crew go to unload biological experiments from Astraeus and discover a dragon nesting. Holly, Allison and Grace start to notice that things aren't what they seem due to a malfunction in the Computer Matrix's Central Processor. Holly puts the pieces together and realizes the truth, but is killed by the Virtual Carter on Senator Wen's instructions before she can tell anyone else. |

The Simulation begins to unravel when Fargo decides to leave Eureka for the airport which is where he thinks Holly is going, as he is driving the stretch of road that has the Leaving Eureka sign on it repeats over and over again. Zane sees a bird get stuck in a rock and goes to investigate, Virtual-Carter goes to help and tries to dissuade Zane which proves futile when Virtual-Carter's icon starts to glitch. In the real world Beverly Barlowe returns to Eureka to help Carter rescue the crew, because of Senator Wen's murder of Holly Marten. She plugs Carter into the simulation to replace Virtual-Carter just before he kills Zane. They collaborate with the rest of the main Astraeus crew to destroy the virtual version of the ship. Attempting to construct an explosion of this magnitude will make the Central Processor overheat which Henry can track in the real world. This works but the explosion causes a Cascade failure in the system, the simulation begins to collapse with the Astraeus crew still inside. They give Zane an electrical shock in order to interrupt the signals exchanged between the computer and Zane's brain effectively ejecting him from inside the simulation. Zane wakes up to the barrel of one of the Consortium soldier's guns. Jo arrives just in time to stop Zane from getting shot. Zane ejects everyone but Carter from the simulation. Someone (Wen) logs Beverly out of the system so she can't eject the Sheriff, then Senator Wen and a large group of soldiers storm Henry's garage and try to disconnect Carter from the Mainframe. Henry pulls a stun grenade on everyone but Beverly, including himself, trusting Beverly with Carter's life. Beverly gets Zane to log her back on and ejects Carter, she then kidnaps senator Wen and plugs her into the simulator, trapping her in a looping virtual version of the Sheriff's office. |

As the Astraeus crew tries to overcome their Matrix Eureka experience, Fargo struggles with Holly's death and decides to take an experimental therapy patch to accelerate his progress through the five stages of grief. Meanwhile, a lab accident causes Parrish's latest project, the Firefly, to be set loose. The Firefly is a ball of energy designed to seek out fires and absorb them. However, it is also a potential fire hazard. Henry discovers that Parrish lost control of the Firefly due to zeta waves being emitted by the individuals who were connected to Senator Wen's neural network. After the Firefly is safely recaptured, the Astraeus crew finally begin coming to terms with their experiences in the simulated world. |

Zane restarts the Computer Matrix Mainframe that created the virtual Eureka in the hopes of recovering some of the corrupted data. The Mainframe begins to search for the people that were plunged into it during Senator Wen's neural experiment. Carter, as the only person who was connected wirelessly, is found and the Computer starts to stimulate his brain - causing him to swap bodies with Astraeus crew members around him. Warren Hughes, the DOD relationship auditor arrives to make sure that those involved in the neural network are ready to return to work. Carter's body swapping lands him in a load of trouble as he is forced to take not only Fargo's rehabilitation test but Zane's as well. Machines malfunction all over GD and the cause is the members of the Astraeus crew. In the end Zane discovers that the Computer Matrix has found one other member of the experiment, Holly. Zane tells Fargo that she may still be alive within the program and Fargo must make a terrible choice between leaving the machine running and trying to save Holly or shutting it down to stop it from destroying the Sheriff's mind. After the Computer Matrix almost kills him, Carter proposes to Allison, telling her that after almost dying he realizes what is truly important and he doesn't want to wait any longer to start building a life with her. |

Henry starts a lifelike disaster-preparedness simulation in the aftermath of the Astraeus incident in the first three episodes. It starts with the town under attack and ends with Carter not carrying Fargo down 72 flights of stairs with a broken leg. The DOD preparedness advisor Dr. Michael Clark gives everyone an overall B+ from 29 dead and over 300 injured in the scenario. Afterwards, the hard drive containing ADA (Advanced Disaster Accuator) is destroyed by a liquid nitrogen pipe rupture. As the day continues, GD begins to experience malfunctions and breaches identical to the simulation. They realize that ADA programmed commands into the GD mainframe, to make the previous simulation "authentic" by actually realizing the events of the simulation, and then destroyed itself so the commands could not be overridden. Meanwhile, Zane helps Fargo connect with Holly in the mainframe, whose full consciousness had been trapped in the Matrix after her neural patterns were disconnected from her body. Zane develops an adaptive waveform forcefield to hide the Matrix and not repeat the events of the last episode. Fargo manages to get in a few minutes with Holly before being called out to supervise the actual disaster. Allison and Jo also must deal with the emotional awkwardness/trauma of the possibility of Jack winding up with Jo if Allison were gone. The final piece of the scenario is a missile attack that ADA launches from a nearby missile silo. When the EM shield does actually fail, Zane uses his adaptive waveform shield to stop the missiles from destroying GD and the town. Jack and Fargo set it up at the exact coordinates specified by Henry, and they successfully save the town at the last second. Later, everyone gets together at Cafe Diem to celebrate. After the cafe, Fargo goes back to the Matrix to face a hard reality and tell Holly that she is technically dead. This saddens Holly and the two hold each other for comfort wondering what is next. |

As Fargo tries to get Holly connected to the real world through an interactive hologram projector, a systemwide error causes a "Level 6 Polymorphic Antivirus Purge" which could delete Holly forever. Holly tries to save herself by running into the computers of GD ending up in a laser. After thinking that they have lost her she writes a message using the laser. Holly is saved and downloaded into Sarah's computer. |

Carter and Allison get in a big fight but soon Allison and Carter ask Henry to marry them now before they are teleported to GD, with Jo as the maid of honor. Holly's programming is too much for Sarah's computer to handle and Holly starts to fade away. Zane is put in charge of Section 5. Zane sets to work on a computer big enough to save Holly's programming. |

In the final scene of the series, Jack and Zoe pass themselves 5 years in the past as they first come to Eureka, mirroring a similar scene in the pilot. |
